Mr. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., known as an American environmental lawyer, author of many best sellers and a member of Kennedy family, had been struggling with the voice disorder which is called adductor type spasmodic dysphonia for a long period. He had many sessions of voice therapy and continuous botulinum toxin injections on vocal folds, however, those had never provided him with satisfying results. He never gave up on getting his voice back and had been looking for the last resort. Finally, he came up with undergoing type 2 thyroplasty in our facility, Kyoto ENT Surgicenter which accepts voice disorder patients all over the world. The surgery was completed successfully. Some voice training was continued by himself and his voice got stable. Here is the strong message from him encouraging spasmodic dysphonia people. Stepping forward sometimes makes you feel anxious.
